Three cadets from 1471 were due to represent East Lancashire Wing at the rearranged Inter-Wing Junior Rugby tournament this weekend, in Yorkshire.
However, nature once again stepped in and the tournament was unfortunately called off. The only saving grace this time was that the tournament was called before the team had even left the pick up point and so meant the cadets could return home much earlier than antisipated.
The team manager, WO Nash, said "It's was a great disappointment for the lads, especially after all the hard work they put into the preperation for this tournament".
WO Nash, who is also the Team Manager for the North Region team, must now select 21 players from across the region to come together for the Inter-Region tournement in a few weeks.
Sgt Sheddon, Cdt FS Ashworth and Cdt Rowley were also due to attend the event as team coaches.
