The annual Inter-Squadron Cross Country event was held on Sunday at Witton Park in Blackburn. The event is the re-run of the 2009 event after it was originally postponed.

Cadets from 1471 enter 3 of the categories, but were unfortunately not abel to enter any Senior Boys or Girls runners. However this did not deter the cadets who we could enter to give it their best.

Cdt Jones finished 3rd in his category, and earns himself a Bronze medal, as well as a place on the Wing Cross Country team.

Cdt Guy finished 4th in his category, which leaves him just outside the medals but does secure himself a place on the Wing team as well as the top 5 runners are selected.

Cdt Bolton finished 6th, just outside the Wing team selection.

Cdt Cpl's Kirkman and Stamford were the only girls to enter from 1471 and they finished in the mid-teens.

The day was mared by a trip to A&E at Blackburn Hospital for Cdt cpl Stamford who suffered an injury after slipping whilst completing the course. However we can thankfully report that the injury was not as serious as first thought and after some good rest and keeping her feet up, the Corporal was back in uniform and on parade on Monday evening.
